Next manager markets
Not so long ago I asked for more next manager markets. We now have three in play at once!
We have managerial vacanies at West Brom, Liverpool and Aston Villa . The interesting this about these markets is that there are a number of mutually exclusive outcomes. For example, Roberto Martinez can not be manager of all three, so two of his prices in the other markets must be false; but which ones?
I don’t actually try and make special judgements on each paritcular cases as that’s very difficult to price. I just trade the volatility these markets can throw up. The rumour mill goes into overdrive during these markets so I will happily oppose any short price. If you get enough turned over at short prices you can easily guarentee a profit. All you are looking to do is lay more than one at a level that gives you a higher than 100% book. To achieve this you need to lay 2 at 2, 3 at 3’s etc. etc. You can’t win them all, but thanks to the unusual way in which managers can be appointed and the theatrics involed, they can make for good trading markets.
I’m active in all three markets and hoping for a few twists and turns. Good luck if you are having a go.
