Sports overload!
I swear if there is more sports available on TV my head is going to explode!
It seems for most of the summer I have been bouncing from one major sporting event to another and now, with the Olympics on, it’s all gone into over drive. I am definitely going to have a rest at the end of this period.
The Tennis has been by far the most tradable sport at the Olympics and we culminate with the finals this weekend. I couldn’t pass up the chance to go to the Olympics on home soil, so this weekend and next week I’m going to duck out of my day to day stuff to attend a few events. So I will miss the Tennis finals this weekend unfortunately, but I will not miss the Olympics and that takes priority for me at the moment. It will be a joy to watch Murray in the gold medal match against Federer. The shorter match format makes this an intriguing match. Cast your mind back to Wimbledon for some pointers.
Goodwood was better again yesterday and it’s been an OK week. Nothing special and no records which means it will have been forgotten in a few weeks time. It has felt a bit weaker this year, but I’ll have a proper look at the stats at some point in the coming weeks. Today’s card looks a little challenging. Lots of meetings on, so we need them to all go off on time if they are not to bump into each other. We have Newton Abbot going off before Goodwood today so that is almost certain to clash you would think.
Enjoy ‘Super Saturday’
