Boxing day bonanza?
Hope you had a good Christmas, we are back with a bang today.
It’s a another boxing day holiday in the UK and the sports schedule will be stuffed full of fixtures, meetings and all manner of sporting events. On racing, even with one meeting abandoned there will be 80 race in the UK and Ireland today.
That’s sounds like heaven to sports traders, but it can be a bit of a nightmare. So many things happening at once often dilutes the amount of liquidity and this is especially true in the racing markets. There are simply too many races on! Plenty of them clash with each other and the liquidity gets spreads right out across the markets and any delays to any individual races mean the following market just never really gets going. On the flip side however, there are so many markets you can pick and choose which ones you want to participate in. So finding a decent opportunity to suit will be easier today.
Of course, in racing, you have the feature meeting at Kempton, which always attracts a lot of interest. So that should be good for some effort, a lot of the other meetings will probably not be so attractive, but as I mentioned you can exclude at will. Even if you did stuff at random today, it’s almost certian you will get one cracking result from the card.
Good luck if you are back behind your desk today.
