US PGA end of day one

I have posted a full list of positive and negative movers to £10 stakes on the forum.

A fairly normal day as far as the market was concerned, but the weather did play a hand and that wasn’t expected.

It was ‘nice’ to see Woods slip out of favouritism fairly quickly and that gave me hope that I will get something decent out of the tournament.  At the end of the day one I’m up £258 on the tournament, which is  ahead of where I expected to be.

I tend to have a variety of positions heading into a tournament, but I can’t tell at that point if a pay off is likely. So I tend to pitch my positions at a level where I could profit and its just a question of how much. So I’m pleasantly surprised by the first day. I’m slowly getting better at Golf and have gradually ramped up my exposure on it this year. I tend to focus on the majors, so I think I need to change that stance to broaden my sphere of opportunity.

Bo Van Pelt and Jamie Donaldson dropped out on the first day, so if you were laying a nice bonus.

11% of first round leaders win at the US Open so that doesn’t say much for Adam Scott’s chances over the four days. Historically the winner comes from anybody within three shots of the lead on day one 60% of the time, so Westy still in with a shout if he can hold it together, if. Long way to go though.

I left a good job in the consumer technology industry to go a trade on Betfair for a living way back in June 2000. I've been here ever since pushing very boundaries of what's possible on betting exchanges and loved every minute of it.
