If you are interested in how to use these ratings. I can forecast a number of things but these ratings are forecasting the number of goals likely in a match. It doesn’t mean this will occur, but it does mean that over time this forecast will be pretty accurate. So this evening the number of goals in the Barca match will be a fair margin more than in the Atletico Madrid match. That’s fairly obvious, but I am sticking a number on it for you. Over the course of a season I’ll only be a little bit out but the individual variances could be quite different at times.
But if, for example, you are pursuing a strategy that requires under 2.5 goals that that is much more likely to occur at the bottom of this list. If you need overs, then it will be at the top of this list. You can use the %’s to work out how certain we are. By top slicing the list or using a mix of matches in the list you can form a better than average chance of seeing a payout on your strategy.
