ATP World tour finals

The ATP World tour finals have already started, in case you hadn’t noticed, and tonight we were treated to a Djokovic vs Federer rematch. Today Murray vs Nadal.

I like this tournament. I’ve been a couple of times now and it’s such a different feel from the slightly stuffy and exclusive Wimbledon. It was great to hear that London will continue to host this series until at least 2018. It’s much more vibrant than Wimbledon and you WILL get to see a decent match between players. No luck of the draw required. If you get the chance to go, you should. It’s much pretty entertaining in this format and great to watch the world’s top players.

The tournament is set up differently to other tournaments you may be used. It’s played over three sets rather than the five that you see in a Grand Slam and therefore the odds will shift around a lot more than longer matches, where a comeback has more of a chance. Of course, over the year, there are plenty of men’s matches that take place over the best of three, but as this tournament occurs off season for other sports so this may be new to you if you only pay attention to grand slams.

The structure is also different, you have a round robin group stage where players play each other then qualify for the latter stages of the tournament. This ensures some good matches, especially as only the very top players get to qualify.

I found that for the perfect trading conditions in Tennis you ideally want two scenarios. High quality competitive contests, or low quality ‘competitive’ contests. We definitely have the former here. It’s typically very entertaining.

Don’t forget that with Bet Angel you get the benefit of specialist Tennis trading tools, namely: –

  1. The unique Tennis modelling and profiling tool – Tennis trader
  2. Live scores on each match
  3. A handy watch list so you can look at all matches and scores all at once
  4. The ability to trade on live scores via a spreadsheet
  5.  Completely automate your Tennis trading via Guardian’s automation tool

Bet Angel can even switch to a market when a nominated score line comes us. In short there is no better software for trading tennis on Betfair!

I left a good job in the consumer technology industry to go a trade on Betfair for a living way back in June 2000. I've been here ever since pushing very boundaries of what's possible on betting exchanges and loved every minute of it.
