Making mincemeat of Strawberries and cream

I’m pleased to see the 2nd round has just finished, on the first Saturday! So there is lot of Tennis to cram in on the 2nd week, starting today!

How I learnt to trade Tennis

When I first started to trade Tennis, I needed a few things to be in place. One of those was an understanding of how odds move in match. If I knew that, I could pitch my opening and closing trades just where I wanted. I could also start searching for ‘pre-cursors’ to that key point in the match. With so many matches on at any one time, too many to monitor effectively, I also realised I needed a way of looking at all the matches and quickly identifying when to switch to them.

From those simple ideas we’ve invested a lot of time and money making Bet Angel the perfect Tennis trading tool.

Specialist Tennis features in Bet Angel

After years of development Bet Angel now gives you the benefit of specialist Tennis trading tools, namely: –

  1. The unique Tennis odds modelling and profiling tool – Tennis trader
  2. Live real time scores on each match
  3. A handy watch list so you can look at all matches and scores all at once
  4. The ability to trade on live scores via a spreadsheet
  5.  Completely automate your Tennis trading via Guardian’s automation tool
  6. Using advanced automation to find, alert and switch you to opportunities.

So, after years of investment, there is no better software for trading tennis on Betfair.

Modelling and it’s role in trading

The rationale behind Tennis trader is simple. From my earliest foray into gambling markets, my desire has always been to model any market I participated in. I do that because I am using a simple premise; to get a full understanding of a market. I learnt that rather than spending years ‘feeling’ what the market was going to do, or relying on a hunch. It helped if you could actually model what is likely to happen and then use that as the basis for participation.

It’s really useful when trading, to know roughly what upside and downside your next decision is likely to yield. So by using a modelling or profiling tool you can say, ‘If I enter here and exit when this happens, how much could I make or lose?’ This is exactly what Tennis trader was designed to do. Then I understood this, it was then a case of hunting for those opportunities.

About the Author ()

I left a good job in the consumer technology industry to go a trade on Betfair for a living way back in June 2000. I've been here ever since pushing very boundaries of what's possible on betting exchanges and loved every minute of it.
