The first ever Dublin Racing Festival takes place at Leopardstown this weekend. Over two days there will be seven Grade 1 races on the card. It promises to be a really good weekend of racing. You can view the ‘official’ website : –

What is the Dublin Racing Festival?
Traditionally Leopardstown has hosted some key features races, but well spaced apart over three meetings. The Dublin Racing Festival is a streamlined merger of the three meetings, wrapped into a two-day meeting stuffed full of grade one races.
With €1.5million of prize-money on offer there should be plenty of liquidity around the meeting.
Irish racing
Irish racing typically trades about half the volume on the UK meetings but the group 1 races often exceed your average UK meeting. Irish racing is perfectly tradeable when the volumes start to rise on the feature races. One possible problem you have with Irish racing is that they tend to race their big races on a Sunday, you may require some brownie points for that!
Another interesting thing you will also note is that Betdaq trades well on Irish racing. Average turnover on Betdaq is much higher on Irish racing than normal and pretty comparable to Betfair. It tends to trade really well on the group racing and is worth a go.
