Pressure on
It’s that time of year when I often turn my attention to a few unusual markets. For my research into these markets I tend to visit this page: –

The markets I am looking at are the ‘White Christmas’ markets. I’ve done pretty well on them in the past and fancy a go this year again as sleet is forecast this week.
Typically the YES markets work against you as time progresses, so laying the NO is the best bet. However high pressure parked over the UK often brings in cold air from the east and this will raise the chance of snow. You get advanced warning by watching snow patterns across Europe. Just think moist air hitting cold land mass = snow. If no high pressure then it would be an Atlantic low rushing in with strong winds that will blow the snow in from the north.
The definition of a white Christmas is whether a single flake drops on each respective station. So even just a flurry can result in a YES.
Cue Bing Crosby.
